Each region has its current and potential most important sources or flows of incomes. These could be the most important because they create the most jobs & self-employed incomes for >>>those who need them most, or because most other flows of income depend on them, or because most other flows of income come from them, or for other reasons.
For example, in some areas, tourism is the most important flow of income- it could be the largest source of income, but it could also be the source of income that has the most internal effects (for example, tourism operators spend 40% of their income on further purchases from local businesses, who spend 40% of their incomes on diverse local businesses, who spend 40% of their incomes on diverse local businesses, and so on. The 60% could be saved for houses or rainy days, spent on imports- which economics proves usually benefit the majority and are good for encouraging exports, etc), or other reasons.
What are the largest flows of income into a country, or being produced by a company?
What potential sources of income could have the largest flow-on effects for other people’s incomes?
How can income flows be shared fairly throughout the world? And what are the ways to create the highest quality of life that is possible for the poorest?
These are not easy questions… the answers haven’t been created for hundreds or thousands of years… they’re not solved yet and are literally being created, % by %.
How do we get closer to a global system of increased fairness, and >>>in a way that doesn’t cause serious problems from it (e.g. power paradox)?
We only have the best methods we have been able to create so far, but how do we problem solve lots of +5s to +10s, % by %?
Important: The world has always had a lot of problems- please make sure you go for your ethical enough personal income goals as your first priority, whatever is happening with the world. The world has always had a lot of problems and its your responsibility to take care of your practical goals first. Please prioritise that, never give those up, and reach those goals first. Just make sure that you’re ethical enough.
Capitalism is really effective, and is also really useful because it helps increase GDP efficiency.
However, we need lots of %s of solutions for the situations that capitalism can’t help, like the tragedy of the commons areas- like the environment.
As a start, we need governments that are willing to step in where the market fails, to create safety nets, and to do fair, effective and efficient redistributions where there is unfairness or a lot of unfairness.
It is particularly important to avoid extremist capitalism and extremist communism- both have large numbers of problems.
The best way will probably be a middle way, where the strengths of both balance out the weaknesses of both.
This middle way will probably be 70-75% capitalism and 25-30% communism. What does this mean in practice?
It means that most development problems occur where capitalism leads to power paradox or survival of the most aggressive. This is really problematic.
Development arises to cover the areas where capitalism fails or is weak, and because of the wicked problem, impossible or huge scale of the challenges, needs both subject specialists (although the problem is that they are extremely incentivised to look smart (usually through obscuring their work with complicated words while not giving enough specific +5 to +10 solutions- and fair enough, if you were in their position, those jobs are extremely difficult to keep if you don’t do the above) in impossible or so far unsolved development areas, like
The other problem is the entrepreneurial nature of a lot of development… because each person has the equivalent of a universe of stars of brain neurons, every time 2 people interact, you create a different culture, and people’s neurons are always changing. The most important part of education is >>> safe, ethically +5 to +10 focused problem solving. If its not ethically +5 to +10 focused, then what are you doing? It needs to be focused on ethical +5 to +10.
This is important because of how individual different circumstances are. By developing good, ethical character in the maximum amount of people (preferably all people) and developing problem solving focused on +5s to +10s, we move development abilities forward.
How do we do these two things? With the best methods that we have so far, and within the context that we are in… if you are highly threatened around some specific areas, then it is good to stay away until it is safer, and to do this even if it is hard to do so.
So in terms of safer areas, how do we problem solve these?
One of the largest challenges of our time is how to protect climate change environments, because it is profitable to cut them down and not profitable to keep them.
This is particularly important for countries like Madagascar, who cut down all their trees and now can’t grow crops because of this.
How do we protect these carbon environments? It is the most important challenge of our times, surprisingly.
It might be unintuitive at first, but what is the point of anything if we waste these years and the world has gone into a storm and flood apocalypse every year for hundreds to thousands of years (as meteorologists are saying).
Remember what happened to Nigeria and the floods, when the rain water stayed there for months? :(
Climate events unfortunately happen all the time now… let’s help climate change in these really important years https://floodlist.com/news
And the number 1 most important problem is these carbon environments- most of them- need to be problem solved and protected as much as achievable.
